Although penguins are flying birds their wings are still a significant part of their mobility. Instead of flying through the air, penguins use the wings that evolved into flippers to cruise, dive and zoom through water. They are dexterous swimmers and athletic, but they walk on land with a waddle and use their tails to balance.
